All of the modules are installed at at 35 degrees angle facing 16 degrees south west.
The modules will NOT be cleared of snow during the winter months in order to simulate remote conditions in the Yukon where people may not be able to clear the modules regularly.
The performance of each module type will compared for the following conditions:
1. Total winter power production.
2. Cloudy weather power production.
3. Annual power production.
These condition sets will then be compared against the industry average pricing for each technology to determine which technology gives Yukoner's the best value per watt of energy produced.
Solvest will analyze the data produced by this project at the 6 month and 1 year mark and release a series of reports to be posted here.
